Protected: when i watch you sleep
its a weird feeling when i’m sitting in front of my laptop at 9am but it feels like its 4 in the afternoon…that’s what happens when you dont sleep for the night, watching tv, talking nonsense and playing rockband/guitar hero at a friend’s place…yeap. how about that? two nights in a row some more…one of the things on my wishlist is actually guitar hero but since my friends have them, i decided to just leech on theirs until i get mine…hoho…wonder when that will be…
i just came back from a speaker’s course called T.T.T. in KL and i’m quite happy with the trip cuz its not SO MUCH of the speaking lessons that i’m happy about…its more of the friends that i’ve made along the way…its so interesting to talk to people from other countries and experiencing their warmth and friendliness…
pretty awesome.
sent wenshen off to aussie yesterday…he’ll be getting his double-degree there at melbourne…gonna be staying there for 5 years and coming back once a year…monash.
i felt sad seeing him leave and he definitely feels the same…could see it from his face…its a hard thing to do, leaving your friends and family behind for that long…he almost teared but he held it in quite well…if i were in his shoes i think the floor would have a pool of water coming from my eyes already…dammit.
but i’m glad i was there to see him off.
so i went to the recent fall out boy concert with wenshen…i’m not head over heels over fall out boy but i guessed it was worth seeing them live in singapore since i like quite a few of their songs…got the tix for a steal too…
the crowd was much smaller than what i expected…i mean…looking at the crowds on videos on youtube and stuff…the crowd that night was kinda ridiculous. firstly, only half of the indoor stadium was used. the free standing crowd didnt even reach the back, not all the seats were filled, except maybe the ones directly in front of the stage…the opening act lasted 45 minutes…was this band called hey monday…waited another 15 minutes staring at the stage and listening to akon songs playing…while we waited for FOB to step out and do something…they came out at 9pm. tickets said the show started at 8. i didnt wanna see hey monday, i wanted to see fall out boy…that’s what it said on the ticket! “FALL OUT BOY”. not “HEY MONDAY”. oh and saw didi too! hi didi…and derrick…hockey dude.
so then the show started, not bad actually…patrick’s vocals are still good live…no pyrotechnics though…sheesh boring. played a lot of familiar songs…the older ones i don’t know cuz i listed to their infinity on high album the most…except for the more popular ones like DANCE DANCE…omg i was going crazy when they played that song…have you seen the video? nice…and the others too…the nice songs…tried to sing along…but i wish my voice was of a higher pitch…coarse voices after the concert…haha…it was shorter than expected actually…FOB came out at 9 and finished at 10.15pm. wtf. really. should have been longer. a bit longer at least.
at the end of their last song, pete took off his equipment, went to the centre of the crowd and leaned into the crowd. so guess what happened next? the crowd surged towards him, grabbed him, pulled him down, girls were prolly kissing him in the process, security was trying to pull him back up but he got submerged into the crowd, disappeared for a bit until security managed to take hold. wow those girls were strong. lol. hence, me and wenshen have labelled him “FALL DOWN BOY”. how apt.
wenshen’s leaving for aussie for studies on 15 feb…wishing you all the best dude and i’m quite sure you’ll be having the time of your life there…enjoy it while it lasts. hopefully, i’ll be able to visit you or something in the coming year or two…since you’ll be there for 5 years anyway.
