Given the choice, without prior knowledge and understanding given, any person would choose the ‘easy’ way. Lie, cheat, slander, hurt, take, break. But what makes a person not do these things? We are given the knowledge and the choice. It is the choices that make up who we are, what we believe in, what we stand for and what we want to see in the world. We make the choices. Our choices don’t make us.
Life is a choice, whether you like it or not, believe it or not. I think it would be easier to see it in a larger scale view or macro view if you believe in God. You understand a bit easier, tolerate a bit more.

This is a MAJOR fact of life. And it took me a long time to get this. If you want to be smarter than me you’ll give this first principle serious consideration. Your skill level in these two areas will determine the quality of your whole life. Every champion and high achiever knows this. These simple skills are the clear difference between winners in life, and losers.
If you learn to manage yourself you can accomplish anything you can dream up. You can deal with negative experiences wisely and you can add skills as you need them. You can become unstoppable. Self management puts you on the launching pad to all the success you desire.
Most people limit themselves by their unwillingness to consider personal change. They won’t learn new things and they won’t change their behaviors even when they discover they’ve been wrong.
its been 14 days since zoukout and i have been at home for the past…11 days. chicken pox is such a bummer. YES i’ve been having chicken pox and only now has it been healing…my body has become a human mine field and just like those war-torn countries, it will take time for me to recover from my mini explosions. i would recommend anyone out there to have some kind of vaccination shot to get yourself safe from chicken pox cuz, especially you guys out there, you really dont wanna be having chicken pox when you’re out of your childhood years. it hurts. more than you think.
i was just lazy to type for the past two weeks. oh yeah that’s one of the symptoms of chicken pox. you get a headache first, then you have these blisters that appear all over your body. and that is when you should see your doctor. i made that mistake of not heading straight to the doc. i was thinking “hey what’s this bubble doing under my skin? wait there’s another?! this is fishy. let me try popping them and see if they disappear…wait…now there’s MORE appearing! all over my body! PANIC!” then i had that fever. then i asked my mum about it. then i went to the doc, after realising that it WAS chicken pox. how stupid.
so now, two weeks on, i’m recovering and looking like a human minefield. prolly need another two weeks for these spots to start disappearing.
Obsession is a word with a negative connotation. Obsession is a compulsive or irrational preoccupation. Obsession is also an unhealthy fixation unto something. Obsession is when one’s mind is totally consumed on one thing. And time can potentially be wasted when one has an obsession for a thing which does not produce a positive outcome.
My first zoukout. Not bad actually…its bigger than i thought. and the performances at the stages ensured that there was entertainment for the whole night. just like i said, sand, sweat and seabreeze. quite surprised it wasnt packed at all at 8pm. not even 9pm. there was still a lot of space around and the crowds really came in at only around…what…midnight? or something like that. luckily ferisha had a birthday chalet nearby so we dumped our bags there. THEN we headed to zoukout after 11. and i have to admit something…trance WAS actually fun! clare please educate me. i’m starting to listen to tiesto already. then there was alternation between andrew chow and above and beyond. i chose andrew. sometimes i think i should have stayed at above and beyond. but NO REGRETS! it was good. except that one minute when the wire got disconnected and there was no sound coming out. that’s when the glow-sticks flew towards andrew. but then everything went back on again so…no problems. oh yea clare was sick with fever the whole time but she was soldiering thru it…lived through the whole thing…the initial crew was me, clare, alex, mas, hidayah, hadi and nick. then later on was char-lot-teh, rachel, sam, irvin and dorinda. oh and jon. jon went home early to sleep, nick had a headache and left, hadi, charlotte and rachel disappeared. irvin went home early too…something in the morning or something like that. but was glad he came. alex was still joking at 8.30am. i’m still wondering how he has the energy. had breakfast, went home after. uneventful, and fun. made new friends along the way.
